YOUTH DAY 16 JUNE 2022
Collective Records together with The Gathering Youth, brought a power-packed line up of artists and DJ’s to perform during Youth Day in the town of Ashton in the Western Cape. This free event brought a message of hope, excellent music and fun to the youth in the community of Langeberg that is so dear to Collective Records heart. This is the town that the President of Collective Records, Hilton Petersen grew up in.
Mrs Bernice Pekeur from ACVV Montague addressed the youth on the prevention of Teenage Pregnancy. The ACVV is one of the oldest non-profit organisations in the social services field.
Thank you Sergeant Lindsay Hamilton from Ashton SAPS for addressing the audience. For community policing to be successful, it is important for members of the community to realise and accept that they also have a social and moral obligation to assist and support the SAPS in the fight against crime, and other forms of social disorder. With the support and involvement of the community, the police will be in a position to meet the safety and security needs of the country.
